Our Core Beliefs

The authority of Scripture, the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), salvation through Jesus Christ, and the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical sign of speaking in tongues.

We also believe in divine healing, the imminent second coming of Christ, and a global mission to evangelize and make disciples.

Core Tenets of FaithThe Assemblies of God (AG) outlines its core beliefs in a document called the Statement of Fundamental Truths. Key tenets include: Salvation.through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the cross.

The Trinity:.Belief in one God existing as three co-equal Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Bible:.The inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, used for teaching, correction, and spiritual training.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit:.A distinct experience after salvation, empowering believers for service and witnessing, with speaking in tongues as the initial evidence.

Divine Healing:.The belief that deliverance from sickness is provided through Christ's atonement and is a privilege for believers.

The Second Coming of Christ:.

The imminent, blessed hope of the Church, which includes the rapture of the saints and a future millennial reign of Christ on Earth.

Key Practices and MissionEvangelism and Discipleship:.The AG's primary mission is to share the Gospel with the world and make disciples, teaching others to obey Christ's commands. Spiritual Gifts:.Believers are entitled to receive spiritual gifts, such as speaking in tongues, for effective ministry and service.

Sanctification:.A continuous, lifelong process of becoming more Christlike and separating from evil, which begins at salvation.

Abstinence from Alcohol:.The AG teaches abstinence from alcoholic beverages, both as a biblical principle and to avoid the consequences of alcohol use.
